Q:
"Is the fur trim removable?"

A:
"Yes! Most fur trim on jackets is removable so that you can properly care for the jacket (as fur usually has different care instructions)."

Q:
"Looking at Obermeyer Positano, Lexington, Tuscany ski jackets.....are the Positano and Lexington longer than Tuscany? Is the white color really white or a slight off white? Can you help me compare these jackets aside from price?"
1 Answers | Answer Question
Question by oclan on 1/18/2012 - 8:20 pm
A:
"For sure! All of these jackets are very similar in terms of the technical stuff (5k/5k waterproof/breathable, 120g of insulation, critically sealed, removable hoods, and powder skirts). This is why they are all in the same price range. Lexigton is from last season which is why it is on sale. Both Positano and Lexigton are longer than the Tuscany. The white on the Tuscany is a bright white. Hope that helps! "

Q:
"Hi. Do the sleeves cinch at the wrist and then have the outer cuffs?"

Question by Michelle on 3/17/2012 - 4:18 pm
A:
"The sleeve cuffs have button closure detailing, however I would not say that they "cinch in." This jacket does not have the ninja cuffs. "

Q:
"I just received the jacket in size 8. The shoulders and sleeves are snug with layers - but fits great in the length and chest/body. If I exchanged for a size 10, how much difference will I see in the arms/shoulders? I'm concerned a size 10 will be too big."

A:
"You are looking of a difference of a few inches. You do want freedom of movement. Although, when you have been active for a bit, you may need to remove a layer. Depending on how snug it feels, you may want to stay with the current size that you have, keeping in mind that you may want to loose a layer at times. "

A:
"My best suggestion is to follow the provided sizing chart. I'm thinking a size 2 should work. If the jacket doesn't fit, you can always return or exchange the jacket for a different size. Please refer to our Return Policy. "

Q:
"What is the difference between this jacket style #11178 and the Positano jacket style #21175?"
1 Answers | Answer Question
Question by Donna M on 10/23/2012 - 10:54 pm
A:
"There are a few differences between this Obermeyer Positano Ski Jacket and the other Obermeyer Positano Insulated Ski Jacket. This jacket, style # 11178 is from last season and is discounted. Another difference is a few styling ques have been changed for the new season. The newer style jacket, #21175, is more waterproof, more breathable, and has more insulation in the sleeves. Also, the newer style has a slimmer fit. "

Q:
"I have a size 10 in an unlined Obermeyer jacket that I use in the spring. I layer underneath it, but it is still slightly big (the shoulder seam is at the top my arm vs my shoulder). Do the lined jackets fit the same as the shells? or is feminine cut of the positano leaner?"
1 Answers | Answer Question
Question by SD_Ski on 12/7/2012 - 6:33 pm
A:
"The shell and insulated jackets should fit similar when comparing the same style. The feminine cut on the Positano jacket is made to flatter the woman's figure by the hips and waist area. It does not change any in the shoulder area. "

Q:
"Do Obermeyer women's jackets typically run small or large - I am typically and size 12 -14 but broad across my shoulders and longer arms. I am having a hard time finding a jacket that fits comfortably across the shoulders and through the arms. It I go larger like into the plus sizes - its typically too big everywhere else. I am thinking of ordering this in a 16 but do not want to look like a puff marshmallow."

Question by mj on 12/16/2012 - 6:40 pm
A:
"Obermeyer is true to size when it comes to fit. It is not going to fit super small like some of the other companies. You can checkout the sizing chart for specific measurements. I don't think it's possible to look like a marshmallow in this beautiful jacket. Good choice!"

Great Deal   Rated: 4/5

I think this coat is a great deal, but I am not able to keep it. The size 12 was too big and the size 10 too small. Just not for me. The only other drawback compared to other brands is that the sleeves do not have internal cuffs and I think the wind would blow right in. You can adjust them with a velcro strap on the outside, but it's not the same as a tigher cuff.

Great Jacket!   Rated: 4/5

I grew up in Florida and have never experienced snow, or snow sports. My husband and I recently moved to New Mexico and he wanted to go snowboarding. I had virtually no cold weather gear or any knowledge base to purchase anything. After much research and opinion seeking - I decided on purchasing the Obermeyer Positano Ski Jacket. I typically wear a size medium men's shirt and a size 10 pant. I ordered the size 12 jacket. It wasn't overly large, nor was it snug. The outer shell was very soft to the touch, and even though there was not a thick liner in the jacket, it kept me very warm! Which brings me to the one con I discovered. There are no ventilation zippers, which forced me to remove the jacket several times during the day. Over all, I would buy this jacket again and I would recommend it to any of my friends!
