This is a light-weight jacket that will get you through mild-medium winters. With proper layering on colder days, it will keep you nice and warm.

I read, on another site, that this jacket runs a bit small. I have an older same brand in size 10 that just fits. Do you tink this 12 will be too big? Also, how is the color? The picture seems to make it look rather dull but I read a review that said the red is "cheery". And the waterproofing - is it good for Northeast wet and humid conditions? thank you.

According to the Sizing Chart, a size 12 will fit a chest size of 39" and a waist size of 31". The red is more of a cheery red and we are in the process of updating our photo. The waterproofing on this jacket is 20K which is pretty much the most that you are going to find, so it's perfectly suitable for wet conditions.
