Im 5'4 and I don't know if I should order the petite or regular size, what are the main differences between the two sizes.
Question by texas girl

The difference between the regular size and the petite size is the length on the jacket and the sleeves. The petite on average should be about an inch shorter than the regular. The Leighton jacket only comes in regular size.

What is the Control Zone Ventilation? Is that underarm ventilation? Does this have the fabric that pulls over your thumb to keep out snow? Is the hood removable, or just the fur? Is the waterproof sufficient to keep you dry in a snowstorm? Rainstorm?
Question by stacey

Control ventilation is referring to the pit zips on the jacket. The hood is removable. The fur on the hood is not a trim. It is a fur lining so the entire inside of the hood has fur on it. This jacket does not have the thumb holes in the wrist cuff. There is only a fleece wrist lining. The 5K waterproofing will keep you dry in a light snow. For any harsher conditions you would need a jacket with a higher rating such as the Obermeyer Kristina Insulated Ski Jacket !

final question...does this have a powder skirt, and is it removable?
Question by stacey
1/28/2012 - 8:59 am
There is not a powder skirt on the jacket. It has a drawstring hem cord on it that can be adjusted at the sides.

I'm concerned about the description as "slimmer and figure-hugging". My wife is not heavy, but she is certainly not slim. Should I go up a size or look for a different model?
Question by Jeff

We usually suggest to size up and some women size up twice (if they normally wear size 6, sometimes in ski wear they have to size up to a 10). Check out the Sizing Chart to get an better understanding of what size you should be ordering for her in this jacket. You can also check out the beautiful Nils Shelli Down Jacket or the Fera Claire Jacket as similar options. Again, being sure to check out the sizing charts for those jackets as a reference to what size should be ordered. I would size up to be safe.
