is this a ski jacket or sweater, I'm confused... if used as ski jacket is it good for very cold weather or more for spring skiing? thanks

This is actually a sweater! It is extremely warm and comfortable. I would not suggest wearing it as a ski jacket because this does not have the features you need like waterproofing, powder skirt or ninja cuffs. However, this would be really great as a mid layer for a shell ski jacket. Or you can use it as a regular day to day jacket in the spring and fall.
