Is the outer fabric soft to the touch? My daughter rubs her coat sleeves for comfort and won't wear anything that's not super soft.

The jacket is made of 50% recycled materials. It feels more like taffeta. Not soft like fleece.

My daughter loves it. I wasn't sure about the color combination, but she likes it. It really looks lovely and girly. The jacket is warm, soft to the touch, and of good quality.

We have Obemeyer jackets for our girls winter coats -- our goal is that they wear one all purpose coat all winter (everyday to school, play, winter sports as well as going out to dinners, etc.) and Obemeyer winter jackets can do all that. It's got the warmth and features for serious play but styles and colors are so handsome for any occasion, not just play and sports. The silver color is a chic standout. This one comes lined with soft liner in key areas like near the ears and chin (leopard print!), the usual i-grow, clips for mittens, compass, removable hood. I think Obemeyer sizing is true, i.e. you do not have to order up or down.
