"fleece lining?"

"?? This means that the same fabric that you see on the outside is not touching your skin on the inside. There is a fleece lining that is next to your skin on the inside."

"Do these pants run true to size? I am 5'9" and 130 pounds. I usually wear a size 4."
1 Answers | Answer Question
Question by Lara Gill on 12/12/2013 - 6:07 pm
"These pants do run true to size and we have provided a size chart so that you can check to see what size would fit you best. However at 5'9", it sounds like you need a long ski pant as the inseam on this is only approx 29". Keep in mind that all brands fit differently so make sure to reference the sizing charts that we have provided if you look at a different brand. In Obermeyer, I think you are fine going with a size 4."
Answer by Martha (Peter Glenn Staff) on 12/13/2013 - 3:42 pm
"How warm are these? I had the Obermeyer "Athens" pants which I think we're a similar style, and I could wear just a pair of long johns under them and be perfectly fine in -0 F temps. Are these as warm?"

"Are these high rise?"

"This is not a high rise pant as it is a natural fit. "

"I don't understand the specs on waterproof/breathability. At the top it claims it is 7 and 4 but in the text below it claims it is 10/10. Which is it? Also, how can it be stretch material if it is 100 pct nylon? You need lycra to be stretchable, I thought."

Question by ChrisinWashDC on 2/20/2014 - 10:32 am
"It might be easier if you call us so that we can explain all of this, but let's try. The ratings at the top that you see is our Peter Glenn given rating on how waterproof (7/10 rating) and warm (4/10 rating) this pant is. If you click on the little question marks next to those rating, it explains it. The 10K waterproof and 10K breathability rating that you see has to do specifically with the fabric of this pant and is the rating that the vendor (Obermeyer) has given the item based off of a scientific formula. A pant that has a 10K waterproof rating does NOT mean that Peter Glenn will give it a 10/10 rating in terms of how waterproof the jacket is. Some items have 15K or 20K waterproof rating and therefore Peter Glenn would give those a higher waterproof rating than a 10K pant. We take other factors into consideration as well to come up with our ratings (is the pant fully taped, critically taped, etc) in order to give it our 7/10 rating. In terms of the stretch, there are many MANY different hybrid materials out there these day and Obermeyer has used here a type of nylon that does stretch, making the pant more comfortable. "

"Do these pants come in petite or short? I am looking for a size 10P slim fit ski pant. Do I have to wait until next year?"

"Yes, this pant is available in a 10P. "

"Are these low-rise pants? I am looking for something similar to the Obermeyer Bond pant. "

Question by JKW on 4/7/2014 - 12:42 pm
"This pant would be similar, just not as fitted. I would also recommend the Spyder Orb Softshell Ski Pant, the Sunice Piccolo Softshell Ski Pant, or the Bogner Emilia 2 Softshell Ski Pant! "

"The regular inseam for a size 10 is about 31"."
Answer by Sarah (Peter Glenn Staff) on 1/2/2015 - 9:59 am
"I have a 35" inseam and was wondering what the I seam is on the Athena "long" and/or your "long" in general. Thank you. "
1 Answers | Answer Question
Question by Tammy on 1/6/2015 - 3:28 am
"According to the Obermeyer size chart, Long pant inseam is between 31" to 34" and is recommended to those between 5'8" to 6' tall. Typically the larger sizes have the longer inseam. Long inseams in skiwear are approx 32-33" on average. "
Answer by Martha (Peter Glenn Staff) on 1/6/2015 - 12:35 pm
"I just bought these in a 10 long, they're a little too big but I really like them. You have a pair of 8 reg, can you tell me what the inseam length difference is as I am tall? Thanks."
1 Answers | Answer Question
Question by Lesley on 1/19/2015 - 1:39 am
"The inseam is going to be about 1.5" shorter on the regular pair."

Great slimming fit   Rated: 5/5

I love these Obermeyer ski pants! I recently gained a bit of weight and was looking for a pair of black ski pants that would look slimming but still be comfortable. These are perfect! I am 5'8" and I purchased the long inseam because I find that the regular fit is often a bit short for me. They happen to be too long for me but I went skiing this weekend and just folded them on the inside and it didn't show. These are overall great pants, they are super comfortable and great fit!

Great quality   Rated: 5/5

Klaus Obermeyer knows how to make quality skiwear. These pants are my favorite and I am so glad that Peter Glenn had a pair in stock because I have worn out my previous pair. These pants have a great amount of stretch and adjustable waist. In short, these pants are fabulous. My previous pair of the Athena ski pant is 5 yrs old and still wearable, that is amazing considering I ski about 70 days a season. Thanks Sport Obermeyer and Peter Glenn.

Small   Rated: 4/5

This was my first purchase of obermeyer ski pants. I ordered a size 4 which is my usual USA size and is the same size as other ski pants I have bought in the past. I found them small for size and couldn't even get the zip up. Hence I have ordered a size 6 in another Obermeyer style and they are on their way. I would have bought the bigger size in Athena but there were none left as I really liked the slimmer style and shape and the waist belt for tightening and loosening. Also I am five feet nine and the regular size was long enough when over ski boots.
