"What would be the warmth rating in North Face terms; for example, the denali is a 300?"
    1 Answers | Answer Question
Question by Anna on 9/19/2012 - 9:22 am
"The The North Face Denali Jacket uses the grade of fleece to keep you warm vs the Sharp End jacket where it uses PrimaLoft® insulation to keep you warm. The Sharp End jacket will be warmer because it uses 100 grams of PrimaLoft® insulation. PrimaLoft® is the highest end synthetic insulation you can get. That means it takes less to keep you as warm as other insulation types. With an insulated jacket, it will be waterproof and windproof as well. Where the fleece does an excellent job in keeping you warm, it will not be great in a windy or wet environment. "

Love it! Warm, lightweight, packable insultation..   Rated: 5/5

Love the sharp end jacket! I've used this jacket on two mountaineering excursions in the North Cascades and the Olympic mountains. The jacket fits well underneath a hard shell, and is very packable and lightweight making your backpack ascent less painful. The size of the jacket is perfect!

Quality is good a but size not as expected...   Rated: 4/5

The quality of the jacket was no doubt good. But I ordered a medium for my husband (which is his actual size) but it was a little big for him.
