The lining is mapped, using fleece for warmth in zones where you need extra heat, and mesh for cooling in zones that are naturally warm. This keeps you comfortable without sweating, and performs better over a range of temperatures. There's a hood on the Polar Jacket, and it swivels with your head for better protection.

"I really like the styling and color of this jacket. Can you describe the fabric texture on the front. It is very unique. What size would you recommend for a 6'3" 215 slender frame. I have a NF Bionic that is an extra large that fits perfect."

"You would be an XL in this jacket as well. The softshell fabric has a very soft padded feel to it. "

"Is this jacket water resistant/water proof so that it can worn alone for skiing without a shell?"

"This jacket can be used for spring skiing in dry conditions. It does not have any waterproofing in it. "
