A:
""I contacted The North Face and looked this up on the TSA website. I first saw that The North Face doesn't ship the backpack by air, only by ground. I spoke to a representative from The North Face and she said you might be able to take it with you, depending on the airline. Looking on the TSA website, it states that, "Except for personal medical oxygen gas cylinders, you can only carry an EMPTY compressed gas cylinder on board a plane." ABS states, The ability to travel with a canister is determined by the TSA agency at each individual airport, so a consumer should check with the airport prior to arriving at security. It is ABS's recommendation that if a consumer plans to travel with their ABS system, that they utilize their canister to test the system and then either travel to the site with a empty canister to get filled at a certified retail center of have ABS ship them a new activation kit or refilled activation kit to their destination. ABS is willing to work with their consumers to ensure they can get an activation kit to their destination. ""
