"Down is the best insulating material for harsh winters, this jacket has a 550 fill which is pretty warm. For negative temperatures however you should layer up really warm too. We also have The North Face Roll Down Jacket (Boys') which has a 600 fill and will provide more warmth."

"Could you wear this for March spring skiing?"

"This is a great jacket but it is meant to be worn in cold winter days as down is super warm. For spring skiing you might want to look at our shells for example the North Face Nimbostratus is a great choice! It will give you the layering you need for an unpredictable spring day. "

Love it!!!!! The rad green is so cool. Warm and comfortable.

Great coat!   Rated: 5/5

My son LOVES this coat! I bought the toddler version for my younger son and my older son wanted one just like it. I especially like the hood - it has piping around the edge so it stays on very well, which is why I bought it in the first place - great for cold, windy days! It's light and lets them move around freely - this is the coat that both of my boys want to wear every day.
