For little winter explorers The North Face made the Alpenglow Boot. The Alpenglow is warm, water-resistant, extremely durable, and actually pretty lightweight so they don't feel clunky. The single Velcro strap makes for easy on and off and there's a cuff drawcord at the top that you can quickly cinch to keep out the snow and cold. All-in-all he'll get long days of play in warm and dry comfort in the Alpenglow Boot.

When it comes to boys shoe sizes, it varies with each boy. Two boys the same age could be two different sizes. The size 10 measures about 7.5" and the size 12 measures about 8" from the bottom of the boot.

Warm boots

Came just in time for our first snow storm! Kept my feet dry and warm. These boots are comfortable and lightweight. I'm an adult woman and wear a size 7 1/2 or 8 and I brought the kid size 6!
