Is this jacket a feather jacket?

The goose down in this jacket is comprised of 25% feathers and 75% goose down. It will definitely keep you warm this Winter!

what shell can this be zipped into? good,better,best, what do you suggest?

This jacket would serve as an awesome mid-layer for any shell. I would recommend checking out the Holden Bessette Shell Snowboard Jacket or the Burton Prowess Shell Snowboard Jacket.

This jacket is not bulky. It does have 550-fill goose down which will keep you super warm but it is not overly fluffy and bulky.

It could be used for skiing for those really cold days although it is not specifically designed as a ski jacket. It is coated with DWR which is water resistant so you can wear it out in the snow. However it is missing the ski-specific features like a powder skirt nor does it cinch on the wrists to keep snow out.
