Q:
"Why do some of the flex 60-65 boots say beginner to intermediate and the others say intermediate only. I'm a 50 year old skier who likes to ski difficult greens and intermediate slopes. I don't go terribly fast but I outpace some. I need a recommendation. "

A:
""It's simply because the 60-65 range is a grey area or kind of like and in-between levels area. Since you are experienced, I wouldn't pay too much attention to the skill level and would pay more attention to whether or not that flex range is right for you. If it's right, then don't worry too much about the ski level that is posted. That is to simply give novices an idea to help them pick the right boot. It sounds like you may be able to handle something slightly higher, 70-75 flex range. ""

Q:
"I have a wide calf and I am having a difficult time finding a proper fit. How would I know if these boots would be a good fit?"

A:
"It is very difficult to purchase a ski boot online without trying it on. The best way to figure out what you need is to look at the flex and the last of the boot. A higher flex(100 to 120) will be for a more advanced rider and the higher last(104-106) will be for someone with a wider foot. These boots are for a beginner to intermediate skier who has a wider foot. As for your calf, I would recommend the Head Dream Series. They are super comfortable! "
