How does this coat fit? I am a 10 to 12 misses, in most clothes. What size should I order?

Actually, this brand runs small. I would even order a 14 to feel comfortable. But definitely a 12 instead of a 10.

I am trying to decide between this coat and a Spyder Prevail. Any suggestions ?

I am a big fan of both brands, but Nils does such a good job with clothing for women. The fits are so feminine and flattering. It is amazing how warm the jackets are, but they are not bulky at all.

What is the outdoor temperature rating for this jacket? Good below zero or more of an above zero coat? To what temperature?
Question by Chris

This jacket has enough insulation for really cold weather, however the waterproof rating could be better and that helps a lot to keep you warm.

This coat looks perfect, but I'm looking for something that's not too bunchy - it says relaxed fit - would you still charaterize it as feminine cut?

This coat is amazing and it does have a cinched waist for a nice feminine cut.

two questions: Is the zipper two-way? are there hand gaitors?
Question by gemgem

This jacket does have wrist gaiters they are made out of a soft fleece like material and in combination with the adjustable cuffs they work great in keeping out all the snow from getting in. The jacket also has the very practical two-way zipper.

Very comfortable on the slopes

I purchased this jacket after wearing a Nils one-piece for ten years. I purchased a size 8 and it fit great other than the sleeves were a little long for my petite (5'1") frame. Still that wasn't a problem since it helped keep snow out of my sleeves. I wore it with a silk undergarment and the matching sweater. I had great movement in it and was plenty warm in temperatures around 20 degrees F on the mountains in Utah. I got a lot of compliments on the way it looked.

I liked the way the neck zipped all the way up - previously I have worn gators but did not need one with this jacket. The sleeve pocket was very handy for my tissue and lip balm.

My friend liked it so much she is going to buy one also.
