The New Balance 1080V2 Running Shoes have extra cushioning for guys that spend a lot of time on the road or other hard surfaces. These shoes are designed to absorb and disperse impact, instead of transmitting it to your joints where it can cause pain. Multiple different cushions like ACTEVA LITE, ABZORB, and N-ergy gel provide the enhanced cushioning in this shoe. The design is neutral, so the 1080V2 will provide support without gait correction.

"New Balance in general features great comfort for heavier runners. The New Balance MR1224 in particular is recommended to provide a better level of control and comfort. "

"Most shoes will have a normal heel on them that you are probably already used to. So stick with the general running shoes. I would stay away from the "barefoot" or "minimalist" style shoes as those shoes will have a lower or more flat base. "
