"I love this jacket, but was told to take off the real fur collar and cuffs while skiing, they said the fur cannot get wet...is that true? That is the beauty of the jacket to where it with the fur for skiing...I have a full length fur coat and have gotten very wet in snow storms and never had a problem..."

""This jacket is designed to be more of a fashion piece. The fur can get wet to an extent, but the fabric on this jacket is not waterproof. If you are going to be doing a lot of skiing, I would recommend the Bogner Meena-D Jacket as another option which does have more of the features that you need in a ski jacket.""
Answer by Martha (Peter Glenn Staff) on 11/9/2012 - 11:53 am
"You can ski in this jacket; the fur will be fine. M.Miller is a world-class furrier. They use only top-quality fur so you don't have to worry about it getting ratty from the moisture. As far as snow storms are concerned, this jacket is water-resistant. It will be fine for skiing in light snow conditions. It's not designed to be waterproof for extended wear in heavy snow or sleet storms, so some of the water may come through. Even if it gets wet, though, it won't ruin the materials. They'll dry out just fine. "

"The size runs pretty similar. If you would like more room to layer I would suggest sizing up."

"Does this jacket have any pockets ?"

"This fantastic jacket has two side hand pockets. They are invisible zippers so they are not noticeable unless you really look for them which makes the jacket even more flattering. This jacket also features an inside zippered chest pocket for anything extra you may need to keep with you!"
