with the polartec 200 thermo lining and 200 grams of primolft it is warmer than most ski jackets. You add a thermal sock and you will think you are on the beach in miami!

Any of the treatments you buy are basically just a DWR of sorts that you can spray on. While you don't need them upfront, they are a good way of maintaining the waterproofing over time.

Oh yeah!

Love these boots! Worn in snowy and wet ski village in Canada. These withstood all the elements. Icy ground covered with layers of slush and snow. My husband was slipping in his boots and I kept my footing in these. Before wearing I couldn't see how they would be waterproof, but they kept my feet totally dry & warm. I got the dark brown. Favorite shoe for all of Spring Break. The uppers seem a bit stiff putting them on but causes no problems. Worn under ski pants and tucked in skinny jeans - excellent - great purchase. Wish I could keep wearing them after returning home but no snow here! Good luck shopping.

Very good looking

These are a good looking boot. A little stiff, but I am sure when it gets cold again and maybe a little snowy, they will be just fine.

Very comfortable - excellent traction

Just got my Merrell Yarra boots. I have been wearing them all day and LOVE them! I needed a new pair of boots to replace my Columbia Bugazip boots. I wanted a different style that still looked cute with jeans and could hold up to a little snow play. I have other Merrell footwear and these boots are right up there with high quality and comfort - it's like they were made for my feet! I read some other reviews that said they ran small but in my experience they are true to size.
