Q:
"I am looking for a black turtleneck sweatshirt. Can you call this "double thick" cotton a "sweatshirt"?"
1 Answers | Answer Question
Question by mr. hardshell on 7/28/2014 - 7:32 pm
A:
"No, I would not call this item a sweatshirt. It is too thin to be considered that type of top. This item would be best used as a layering piece or it can be used alone on days with light-cool weather. "

The fabric was just fine, very comfortable. Length was overwhelming; came to mid-thigh even though I am 5'11".

Comfortable, however not consistent   Rated: 4/5

I have been buying these shirts for close to 20 years. I wear them till the sleeves start fraying. Have noticed that the weave and weight varies every few years. Latest purchase (two weeks ago) have larger shoulder seams than in the past and the sleeves and shirt tail are longer than in the past. Shirts continue to shrink slightly after continued washings but then maintain their shape and fit. Buy larger than you think you need. (I am trim but buy large which settles in at a med/lg. Black stays black, but navy tends to lighten after several washings. Made in Pakistan and has been for some time now. Very well made and durable.

Very attractive slim fit   Rated: 5/5

We have been searching for years for the right fit turtleneck - a snug but not too tight collar, fitted but not skin tight body. The cotton is a moderate-heavy weight and the turtleneck well constructed.

Bought two to try out. Very satisfied. Very nice snug fit at the neck and does not get baggy. Buying more before they stop making them!

- Good quality fabric
- Perfect neck fit with long arm length (has been difficult for me to find)
- Nice touch to add taped neck seams. Adds to durability.

May be a little tight fitting so order the next size up.Very warm and the neck so far keeps its shape. Looks sharp with blazer or v-neck.

Bought for my husband. He loves it for those cold windy days skiing in Montana. He can wear less layers when he has this on.
