"Does the hood on the MC44_Grappa fit over a ski helmet? What does 10K waterproofing mean?"

"This hood is not helmet compatible. 10K waterproofing is a rating given to the jacket that relates to how much water the material can withstand before it leaks through. 10K is a pretty good rating. It would last you all day out on the slopes!"

"Is it possible to get an idea of a warmth rating for this coat? I'm only familiar with 550 to 650 100% goose down fills. I am ALWAYS cold. Also is the coat windproof or seamsealed? Thank you very much."

Question by cold girl on 1/5/2012 - 12:19 pm
"When a jacket is measured in grams, the max warmth you will find is about 200 which is the warmest. You rarely find this in adult jackets, and mostly in toddler jackets. This MeCo Lauren jacket you are looking at is 120g in warm insulation that will keep you really warm and toasty. This jacket also has a really awesome lining that will reflect your body heat to keep you warmer. This is 10k waterproofing so this does have critically sealed seams. If you are skiing in this jacket, be sure to wear a next to skin layer that will wick away any sweat and moisture that will occur from being active. The moisture sitting on your skin will freeze up causing you to get cold. So having a good moisture wicking base layer will really be essential for staying warm. Check out this great thermal which is wonderful at wicking away moisture: SmartWool Lightweight Zip Top Thermal "

"Are the pockets large enough for a neck gaiter and / or hat? Please send dimensions of inside gear pocket"
    1 Answers | Answer Question
Question by Barb on 2/25/2012 - 10:55 am
"This jacket has plenty of pockets and I am sure a small hat a neck gaiter will be able to fit. There is 2 internal pockets 6x6 and 6x4. The two hand pockets are 5x6 and there is a chest pocket and small sleeve pocket that is 4x3."
Answer by Ashley (Peter Glenn Staff) on 2/27/2012 - 12:05 pm
"I fell in love with this jacket today, in grappa, I think. Could grappa be described as a very dark navy with a purple tint? If yes, that is the color I saw. Unfortunately, it was only available in size 12 which was a little too snug for an active skier. I see you have a 14 in black & a 16 in grappa. Could I ask you to do a some comparison measurements for me? Size 12, 14 & 16? Center back length, sleeve length, distance from edge of shoulder to other edge of shoulder...or any other measurement that you think would help me to decide if the 16 grappa would work for me. OR should I order the 14 black + 16 grappa & return that which does not fit? What is your return policy? Thank you. "

Question by Lin on 11/18/2012 - 7:50 pm
"This is a very pretty jacket. The grappa color is a nice purple color. It has grey color accents. The size 10 measures 29" on the center back, the shoulder measures 17" across, and the sleeve measures 17". On the size 16, measures 30.5", on the center back, 17" across the shoulder, and 19" on the sleeve length. you can purchase different colors and sizes and return what doesn't fit. Please refer to our return policy. "

"My arm sleeves in most coats measure 26" from should seam to bottom of the cuff.. I am 5'8" tall (135 lbs.) and wear a size small or size 6-8. How in the world can an adult coat sleeve measure 19"? How do you measure?"

Question by Danise on 2/2/2013 - 6:35 pm
"The sleeve measurement from shoulder to cuff is 25.5". The 19" measurement comes from the arm-pit to cuff. I apologize for the confusion."

    It's a beauty!

I bought this jacket when it was the deal of the day. It is beautiful. I haven't had a chance to wear it skiing yet, because there is not enough snow, but it is one that I can wear casually, and it is comfortable and multifunctional enough to wear everyday. It is a very versatile jacket, fashionable too. I can't wait to go skiing in it! I only wish it had pit-zips.
