This is a 2009 model. Because of the Thinsulate (which is a thin insulation while still getting warmth) you get a very sleek and slim look with no bulk!

Yes, this jacket is highly waterproof 20k and has 120g body / 100g sleeve insulation. This will keep you very warm.

My wife is about 5' with bust 36. Most of the jackets she has liked the size 10 but this back length seems to be really long. Is size 10 in this jacket probably too big for her.

She'll be swimming! Marker is pretty generous in their sizing, so based off of her bust measurement, she would be best in a size 8. However, the length of this jacket is quite long for her small frame so she'll probably be better in a Marker Cresta Jacket or Serenity Jacket.

I AGREE, GOOD BUY

I haven't used this jacket extensively yet, but it does seem to be pretty warm.
The wrist area is really nice: no finger holes, but I don't need those... there is lycra and then the velcro closure is very good, stays put. The only reason it gets 4 stars is that it is a bit puffy-fitting in the front. I ordered once size larger than my normal so I can layer plenty underneath, and the fit is just what I wanted: not too tight, but not super loose. However, there is a bit of extra room in the front. Personally this doesn't bother me at all, because I am going for warmth. Plus the jacket is otherwise very good looking.

A great buy

Words cannot describe how much I love this jacket. It's warm, comfortable, and light. I just used it for four days of skiing in New Mexico and it was terrific. It's a perfect fit for me and I have received a lot of compliments on it. It's a beautiful ski jacket. The hood fits over my Giro helmet, though I didn't need to use it. I do wish the hood stowed under the collar instead of just zipping off, but it's a minor quibble.
