The fit and quality are great. A lot of the ski pants are cut straight up and down, more like a men's pant. When they say "tapered fit" they mean the waist not the leg. These fit very nice if you have a smaller waist and larger hips. That being said, the sizing runs a tad small or exactly true to size. Since it's so form fitting you may need to order a size up to feel like you can move in it. I ordered my regular size and it's a bit tight, but I liked them so much I plan to lose 5 lbs just so I can wear them.

I took a chance and tried on the Marker Jean Pant, and I was blown over! They look and feel fantastic -- fitted like a jean so you have a shape but they move with you and are super comfortable. I would say it's true-to-size for me. I wear a 6R in street pants e.g. Lands End, Ann Taylor, but the 8R Marker Jean Ski Pant fit me perfectly as I usually size up in ski clothes. If I skied more often, I'd have bought two pair. Definitely recommend!
