The Marker Capri Thermal Bottowm are a great mid-weight base layer. These warm long underwear stop just above your ski boots so they won't bunch up and leave uncomfortable pressure points. The micro-fleece inner fabric is super soft and warmer than most thermals, and the smooth stretch outer fabric provides a little protection from the wind. Quick-drying fabric means you stay warm and comfy even on the coldest days.

a little tight/small

Nice form fitting warm capri length fleece under-ski pants. I wear a small for almost everything - these "small" are more like an extra-small, the "medium" is more like a small.
Low-rise waist. Tight tapered legs. NOT something you would wear around the lodge - they are really long "under" - wear. If you are a size 2/4 buy the small, if you are a 4/6 buy the medium. If you are a 6/8 the medium will likely be kinda small. I honestly haven't used them yet for skiing because I had to return the size smalls, but they are about as warm as my North Face capri tights and I expect them to be awesome if they hold up the same.
