The smooth flatlock construction makes an excellent baselayer since it won't bunch. As you work up a sweat, the fabric's moisture-management knit wicks away perspiration to keep you dry and warm.

    Q:
"Can these be worn as a top layer? I'm going skiing in February and hoping for a spandex type pant to wear instead of the baggie ski pants, will this work?"

    A:
"This particular pair of pants is a base layer and is not waterproof. They are great for working out and such, but offer no waterproofing or insulation so would not be appropriate as an outer layer."

The tights fit well; they lay on my natural waist. I have had problems with some bottom layers that have a low rise. I ordered an XL which I would say would fit a 14/16 woman including those with "curves". The interior lining is soft and the tights are not at all bulky although they are not thin.

I paid $70 for these at the local ski shop two years ago and then spent the next year looking for them again without luck. Should have come to Peter Glenn from the start. I bought a pair last year and am back for another because it appears that Marker is no longer making them. These are the BEST base layer I have ever worn. They fit close and create no bulk under my ski pants, they are super warm and comfy, and they wear like iron. Even though I don't really need another pair, I am getting them NOW before they are gone for good. Wish I had gotten some for my daughters before their size was gone.
