Libtech Skunk Ape C2 BTX Snowboard

Libtech Skunk Ape C2 BTX Snowboard -

    Product Details

    Style: 0212-SKUNK APE

The Libtech Skunk Ape C2 BTX Snowboard may look crazy but the technology behind it is so smart it's almost nerdy. The ride is all about geometry with Banana technology between your feet giving you insane float and skate-like feel, and flatter camber with MagneTraction outside of your feet to give you solid grip on the icepack. Double sintered sidewalls slam rails without crumpling, and the TNT base is fast and easy to maintain. To top it all off the Skunk Ape has Quincy Quigg's artwork which is absolutely insane.

    • Shape: Twin
    • Design: All-Mountain for versatility
    • Flex Rating: 7 (on 1 (soft) to 10 (stiff) scale)
    • Camber: Reverse-camber Banana and flatter camber blend

    • Wider width with big feet in mind
    • Banana tech puts rocker between your feet and lifts the tip and tail for buttery ride and float
    • Ride this board up to 3cm shorter than normal
    • MagneTraction puts 7 points of contact between the board and snow for better hold
    • Basalt fibers increase pop
    • New Columbian Gold core uses specially engineered wood to be lighter and more responsive
    • Power Transfer Sidewalls equal extra pop
    • Extruded TNT base is fast and easy to maintain
    • Correct Sandwich Construction for reduced tip and tail weight

"Follow up question. I want an all mountain freestyle snow board I have fairly large feet size 13. Not really sure if I should go for the skate banana or skunk. Really want a lib tech could you offer some suggestions?"

"I see that both boards are available in wide, which you definitely need. The next thing is comparing the stiffness ratings. The Skate Banana is less stiff (mid-range). The Skunk has a stiffness rating of 7, so the Skunk is better for a more advanced rider that is looking for a more aggressive and responsive board. "
