Do these boots fit true to size? I normally wear an 8M (or 8B)in my dress shoes and sneakers. In some athletic shoes (like cross-trainers) I might size up to 8.5M. Would the size 8 fit me? I would wear an athletic sock (not thick) with it.

I would order your regular size (the 8, not the 8.5). Most of our feedback has indicated that they fit pretty true - not like athletic shoes.

How does the size works for someone with "fat feet"? The size for sneakers is 9 but her size would be 8 1/2 for another shoe that is wide

There are no 1/2 sizes. So if someone normally wears size 9, then that is what you should get.

Wonderful shoes

I bought may pair almost 5 years ago. They have climbed Kilimanjaro with me (for tired cold feet after hiking). We took on the Swiss Alps, Wet Ireland and even the winter Bush Veld in South Africa.

They are stylish and I can walk or stand the whole day without battling with tired feet. I don't leave home without them.
