Earth pants for rain   Rated: 4/5

I ordered this just in case we were to get more rain. I have to work outside so I needed a good warm pair of insulated and waterproof pants. I usually don't buy items like these over the net, but I couldn't find any locally. They arrived quickly and I really didn't even get a chance to try them on before putting them to the test. I didn't wear any waterproof boots or they might have been better in the inseam department. I wear 30 and they were a little long, as they dragged on the pavement. The stretch inner cuffs seemed to be out of place for me, but with snow boots on and more than likely 6 to 8 inches of snow they would come in very handy. As you can probably tell by now, I did not buy these for snowboarding or skiing. There is no inside opening to get to your jeans or pants, so you have to unzip and unsnap to get to your jeans, which was a bummer for me. I wore them in weather that didn't get above 35 but with consistent rain fall. So I have no foundation for anything that would say they will do a good job for anything that they were intended for. The elastic straps were easy to use and not that hard to maintain a steady pull, in order to keep them in place. Pockets are zippered, so if you store anything there there won't be a chance of the items falling out. But the down side to that is that more than likely you will have to take gloves off to unzip. The zippered legs are okay, but still had to take off my shoes, to be able to put them on. I'm 6'1 and around 200 lbs., and they had enough room for me. There is adjustments to tighten up the waist if so needed, and two zippered areas on each inner thigh. I assume that is to allow cool off. All in all, a good pair of insulated pants. I believe I will get lots of good use out of them.
