Synthetic nubuck is made out of man-made materials all of which are 100% non-animal materials. Typically it would be some type of polymer.

Would you recommend this shoe for walking 45 min every day as a form of exercise?

These are extremely comfortable for walking. They have a memory foam insole which is just great. These are a barefoot shoe which means they do not have a lot of support. For the barefoot minimalist type shoe, these would be great for you. If you were looking for a supportive shoe, these would not be it.
