Featuring a covered elastic waistband, gusseted crotch, and flat seam construction, the Hot Chillys Micro Elite Ladies’ Baselayer Tight is so comfortable you might not want to take it off. And if you choose to wear them indefinitely, you’ll be happy to know that they’re made with Bio-Silver. Silver has natural anti-microbial properties, so despite days of wear, your tights won’t smell stinky. They’ll also keep you warm on those chilly days and quickly wick sweat away from your skin when you start charging hard down the slopes.

  • Polyester/Spandex blend fabric
  • Mid-weight fabric provides warmth for all weather conditions
  • MTF fabric wicks moisture away from skin to keep you dry
  • Brushed lining feels soft against skin
  • Flat seam construction is smooth against the skin
  • Gusset reduces seam bulk and helps you bend and move with ease

"I am a 2 petite and 4'11" in height. Will these be too long? "

"These may be a bit long. However, they have the shortest inseam we carry for the thermals. The inseam for an XS is 27". You may look into the children sizing for the Hot Chillys."

"What is the rise on these pants?? Looking for a higher rise, like 10" as the low & mid rise are too low/short and barely cover my back side. "

"These have a 10" rise. You should check out the Hot Chillys La Montana Thermal Bottoms."

"These would work okay for her. However, we do have some that are a bit tighter. I would recommend the Snow Angel Cybersilk Baselayer Bottoms or the Snow Angel Doeskin V Waist Baselayer Legging!"

"Are these Hot Chilly micro elite base layers thin? I am looking for a thin tight fit under my ski pants. Also, do you have any base layers that have a stir-up bottom? I wear my ski boots tight and it the ankle band sometimes is too thick."

"Although they're called "micro elite," they're actually a mid-weight fabric. You'll want to look at our lightweight baselayer bottoms. Or, our absolute thinnest pair is the Terramar Baselayer Bottom. They are a bit sheer, though, so you won't be able to wear them alone as leggings."
Answer by Laura (Peter Glenn Staff) on 1/8/2015 - 1:15 pm
"Hi! My daughter will move to Salamanca, Spain and I am trying to look for her a baselayer that can be good for between 20 or 35 grades f. We live in the Caribbean and for us cold weathers are freezing weathers! A friend recommended one that you have that is very light and warms very well. Would you please tell me which one could be good? "

"This one would be good. Or really any of our mid-weight baselayers. I really like wool, like the SmartWool thermals. For me wool is the warmest, but the synthetics like Hot Chillys and Polarmax are great too. "

Great base layer   Rated: 5/5

I decided to try this Hot Chillys baselayer because my husband has been using the men's version for years and loves it. I really like it. It has a tight fit and has kept me warm on the slopes. (I wear it under my AFRC Intrigue stretch pant.) I am 5'2" and 120 lbs. and the small fits me fine.
