What base layer is the best for 0 degree's? I ski and when it's below 15 degrees I want to wear the best to stay warm. Thanks.

The double layer is a pretty warm thermal. Also check out the Hot Chillys La Montana. That is probably the warmest you will get! Thanks

I typically wear an XS or 2-4. Will the S be too big for me since it's a relaxed fit? Should I buy the kids' L or XL perhaps?

The chest size for a womens XS is 30"-31". A childs XL is 33"-35". I would suggest going with the XS in womens. This will also ensure that the sleeves are long enough.

This item, along with the pants, definitely served its purpose. I used them as a base layer for skiing. It was not itchy or tight like I thought it would be. It's not silk, but it's a great alternative. This is a definite must-have when the weather is below 40 degrees. I didn't give it 5 stars because it is a little thicker than the silk version. It just depends on your preference.
