These suspenders are the most comfortable I've ever worn, and the clasps are a great design in that as tension is placed on the straps the clasp closes tighter. However I was forced to subtract a star because the pins at the hinge of the clasp are prone to falling out. This problem hinders an otherwise perfect suspender.
Using a toothpick I put a bead of Gorilla glue on each side of the pins on all clasps to prevent it happening again and the clasps will still move just fine. Easy fix.
4/5 stars if you don't mind a little preventative maintenance. Otherwise they're a ticking time bomb and deserve less stars.
I have used several different types of suspenders to keep up ski pants with metal clips. They would either come off or damage the pants. The plastic style compression clip seem to hold better and from the design I suspect will not damage the pants. I haven't used them much but pleased so far.
These suspenders have sturdy clips and wide bands, I just used these in Whistler and they worked great. They are much better than flimsier suspenders out there.
I had a pair of suspenders with metal clasps that I used for several years. I purchased at local big box home improvement store. They were wide and stiff. I found them uncomfortable and the metal clasps tore my ski pants. This pair has plastic clips. They work great with out tearing the pants. The straps & buckles are smaller and much more flexible, providing better comfort. My buddy liked them so much he ordered a pair as well.
