These do not have separate finger compartments.

Please explain what the " digital finger area " means.

Some glove liners have a digital area on the index finger that would allow you to dial out on your phone screen without removing the glove liner. These gloves in particular are mittens and they do not have a digital finger area, we have corrected the description and removed this feature.
