"Yes! This board will be good for a beginner. It is flexible and forgiving for easy turns, and it has a stiffer tail for a more steady and stable ride while just riding and cruising around!"

Q:
"After 20 years of skiing it is time to learn to snowboard since that's what my wife and sons like. What's a good beginners board/binding that will handle a size 13 boot (I already bought some burton boots) and isn't to costly? "

"Welcome to the wonderful world of snowboarding! I would suggest the Rome Tour Wide Snowboard. It will be more stable than the Recon but is still soft and forgiving which is perfect when you are learning. "

Q:
"Would this board work for a size large in the Forum Recon bindings? Also, would you suggest to ride the wider board or skinnier board for a person with size 10.5 in burton boots?"

Question by ginger on 10/7/2013 - 9:26 pm
A:
"Yes you could use your large bindings on this board, as this board is ideal for someone with a size 11+ foot. However if you like to ride wider boards, than this board would be an awesome board to ride. You gain control and stability with a wider board, but give up some maneuverability with them. Such as added swing weight when spinning or getting inverted. "

Q:
"Hi, I ride switch a lot and butter. I am aware that this is a directional twin board with a stiffer tail, but is it a good idea to center the bindings like you do on a true twin board as opposed to the suggested setback? Thanks!"
