This brand runs pretty true to size, but I would definitely go up a size to fit layer underneath.

I wear a size 6 but all of my Bogner jackets are a size 8, allowing for layers underneath.

Someone in a retail store told me this jacket could not be worn skiing as it would not keep me warm. I just love the look. Even though its super thin with the 800 goose down, isnt it warmer than it looks?

I love this jacket too! And you are correct...the jacket is very warm because of the goose down and it is not bulky at all. The fit is good. When looking for a ski jacket, you should always check for technical basics like a powder skirt and a good waterproof rating. This jacket is great for running around town and winter wear, but I don't think I would consider it a ski jacket.
