    Q:
"Hello! I just bought this skis for my girlfriend in size 158 cm and I'm afraid they might be too big. Could not really find a sizing guide from Elan. My GF is 164 cm and 51 kg, intermediate skier. Right now she has some Fischer skies semi carves, about the same size. Will the Gold Magic feel better, or be harder to turn? 158 cm was the only option though, and a cracking price! Thank you!"

    A:
"These may be a little too long, but there is a caveat. If your girlfriend is a good skier she may like her skis a little longer. In comparison to the skis you describe, these Elans will be a lot easier to turn. They're designed specifically for that purpose. So, if she's been skiing for a while on the semi-carves and hasn't had any trouble, I don't think she'll have any trouble on these Elans. If anything, these should be easier to control. "

I got these skis for teaching beginner lessons, and I love them. They allow you to make slow turns for demoing to students, but they also work well when you decide to go play on them.

An all around good ski for advancing on, definitely worth looking into. I'm just sad that Elan has replaced it with a different ski, as these haven't failed me yet.
