"This is more of a winter jacket that you could wear around town than it is a ski jacket. You could wear it for skiing, however, it is not waterproof so you would have it wear it on a dry day."
Answer by Sarah (Peter Glenn Staff) on 12/10/2013 - 8:51 am
"This jacket is 100g Omni-heat insulation; at what range-level of insulation does that fall? (ie: 600 fill, etc?) or is there anything comparable? I am looking for a jacket that will do well in blistery winds of single digits."

"Only down insulation goes by a "fill power" not synthetic insulation. If this jacket had down, we would have rated it a 10/10 for warmth and as you can see, we have rated this a 7/10 so it is very close in warmth to what you would get with a down jacket. Please note that this jacket is only water resistant, not water proof. So if you intend on being in wet conditions, you may want to look for something that is waterproof."
