A:
"She could ride a 120 or 125 board. We have two true beginner boards with a flex of 1: the Burton Chopper Star Wars Snowboard Style#CHPPER STARWARS 12 and the Burton Chicklet Snowboard (Girls') #CHICKLET 12. The V-rocker , TWC and Feelgood boards have a flex rating of 3 and are designed for kids that have the basic down and are looking to improve."

A:
"A good size to start with would be a 142. To choose your appropriate size you should consider your skill ability and terrain as well. If you like to go faster and on powder you should consider a longer board. This is a good all around board to improve your skill levels."

Q:
"Hi. My son is a beginner and struggling to flex a standard board to achieve turns. Will the Burton Smalls V Rocker make the job easier for him? If so, what size? He's 9, 4'4" and 66lbs. Would like the board to last a year or so."

Question by Kate Jones on 3/30/2012 - 2:39 pm
A:
"For the height and weight specifications you gave me the recommended size is 125. We do not currently have anything in stock for boys in that size range. This would be a very good board for him to improve on if we had the correct size for him. We are at the end of the season so it is harder to find sizes. "
