The Burton Boy’s Exile Cargo Pant features DRYRIDE Fabric and is insulated with 60G of Thermacore Insulation to keep your youngster toasty warm and shielded from the elements. This kid’s snowboard pant comes packed with pockets to store all the necessities for shredding the gnar. The Room-To-Grow System actually grows with your child with a few quick snips of the red stitching in the liner.

What does a size L equate to, a boys 8-9 years old?

According to Burton's sizing chart, a size large will typically fit a 9-10 weight: 59-75 pounds and height of :53"-58". Also a small is a 5-6 and a medium is 7-8.

According to the size chart, an XL may be too snug. You probably need to move into the mens smaller sizes.
