"Does that mean this board is probably too stiff for me then?"

"Yes this board might be too stiff for you. Select something that is level 1 on the stiffness rating."

"I am an adult female, but I usually rent boards that are 140cm. I was thinking of this one, but worried about the stiffness (it is the most stiff on the scale). I'm off the bunny hill, but still considered a beginner. Will this board be too stiff for me? Please help. Thanks!"

"To select the best board size for you it is recommended for it to be between 88% and 90% of your height. Also the less stiffness the better for beginners. That way you can initiate turns easier and you wont get tired too fast. "

"With a mens size 8, he is going to need a mens binding (mens size small or medium as both work for a size 8). With a size 8 boot, it is best if he upgrades to a mens size board, not a kids size. "

"My son is turning 10 & is approx. 70 lbs @ 4ft 5inches. last year we had a seasonal rental which was a shooter 5150 size 118. He did really well in lessons & was riding mostly green trails on his own (some blue). Would this be a good board for him this year?"

"A more appropriate size for your son would be a 130. Check out the Burton Hero V rocker which also has the width to accommodate his shoe size."

"I would suggest a size 114 for his board size. He may need to size up to a size 3 boot depending on the socks he will be wearing, and his growth patterns."

High End Board For Groms Rated: 5/5

Sweet board, well built, very forgiving. My son could jump from groomers to chopped out powder, and then to the park without any trouble. This board handles it all and seems to perform well on boxes and rails in the park. Thanks to the V-Rocker he had no hang-ups w/ the edges while board sliding.
