A silky taffeta lining glides smoothly over mi- layers, but most days the 100 grams of Thermacore insulation will be plenty to keep her cozy while riding. Pull the fulltime hood over her helmet when the wind gusts on long chairlift rides, and open the jacket’s vents if the day warms. A pass pocket means it’s easy to avoid hassle with the lifties, and goggle and zippered pockets keep valuables secure.
