Q:
"How weather/rain resistent is this product? It indicates good for skiing but need to know more information. What's the temperature factor for this coat?"
Question by Mary on 1/4/2012 - 4:32 pm
A:
"This jacket is water repellent which will keep you dry in mild conditions with light snow. I would not suggest wearing this in the rain. This jacket is really warm with a goose down fill insulation. Depending on how active you are, and if you are naturally more cold, this jacket is sure to keep you warm through pretty cold weather."

I bought this jacket in the silver and love it. It's beautiful and extremely warm. We were skiing in very snowy and cold conditions the week before Christmas and I did not find that the snow penetrated the fabric and I was never cold. On a less than positive note, I also purchased this jacket in red and on a day that was not as cold or snowy, I felt the wind come right through the fabric and I was cold. The silver fabric does not allow for wind penetration and though the down feathers are warm and do not wick the moisture away like other synthetic fabrics, I am very happy with the jacket.
