Q:
"Hi - are those good for cold weather?"
Question by Laura on 10/5/2010 - 3:07 pm
A:
"These are good for cold weather, but you'll still want to wear a pair of thermals underneath. "
Answer by Danielle (Peter Glenn Staff) on 10/5/2010 - 3:18 pm
A:
"Yes, I loved them! I wore a mid-weight base layer under them, and didn't get cold at all. However, I was in temps of a little below freezing in Oregon snow. I would say that maybe if you got into the teens, then you would need a heavier base layer or a more insulated pant. "
Answer by Theresa on 12/28/2010 - 1:31 pm
A:
"I'm 55yo and weigh 220. Will a size 18 fit me? I don't want the low-midrise to be too low."
Answer by Patty on 1/23/2012 - 5:07 pm
A:
"I would suggest looking at our
Size Chart to see the waist and hip measurements before choosing the size 18. I'm wondering if, according to the size chart, you might actually need a size 20 or XXL. "

Very cute online. I am about 5'9 and 160 lbs. Usually between and 10-12 for pant sizes. Ordered a 12 and they were very tight, very uncomfortable, too short.
I just received my AFRC Tech Soft Shell Ski Pants and I LOVE them! I am 5'6" 110 lbs and got the size 2 -Regular. These pants are true to size, and are very form fitting. They definitely make my booty look nice (which I know my boyfriend will love). The material is slightly stretchy so moving around in them is as easy breezy. :) I recommend these ski pants to anyone who wants to stay warm and dry while looking sharp on the slopes!
Peter Glenn was very fast with their processing and shipping.
I had been looking for waterproof pants that were not heavy or bulky. I love the fit! They have a nice stretch, but they are not flimsy. I had originally bought them for snowshoeing/cross country, however I ended up wearing them snowboarding! They did fantastic...I'm still a newbie, so I fall frequently, and I stayed dry and warm the whole time. They have zippers at the bottom, so I had no trouble getting them over my boots. I wore them with a mid-weight base layer and was not cold at all. I was in temps of upper 20's - low 30's. If you were going to go colder, then you would need a heavier base layer.
Great value!!!! Glad I found them!
