Q:
"How long is your 14 petite. I am 5 foot tall and running into the problem of not being bean pole skinny and then I am short. And the larger the sizes it seems the longer they are...which does not work for me. "

Question by Angie on 12/18/2010 - 6:31 pm
A:
"The inseam is 27.5 inches for the petite. This should work. You are correct that the inseam tends to increase with the size of the pants, but this brand does a good job with the petite sizing. You made a good pick with these. If you have any other sizing questions, give Peter Glenn Customer Service a call at 1-800-818-0946 and we can assist you even more."

Q:
"I cross country ski a lot and will be going to Montana soon. I want a warmer pant than my Sporthills but since I am 5' tall I have few options. I found this AFRC pant in the petite sizes but am wondering if this will be too warm for X-C skiing? "

Question by LittleXCSkier on 12/30/2010 - 1:23 am
A:
"I think they will be just right for you. The waterproofing is really good at 10k, but there is not a tremendous amount of insulation. They will be warm because of the fleece lining, but not too warm. Great choice. Also, this is a great line because they offer petite and long versions."

"I wear a Thompson brace on my left knee. Is it possible to wear these pants over a hinged brace..is the back zipper long enough to access the knee if I pull up the pant leg. Thank you."
1 Answers | Answer Question
Question by Milena Pfeifer on 3/13/2011 - 11:03 pm
A:
"This pant is fitted on the top and flare on the bottom. I do not kow the dimension of the Thompson brace so saying it will fit will be taking a guess, however everything you buy from us is returnable for a refund or exchange."

"Is this more of a slim fit with stretch or a little looser?"
1 Answers | Answer Question
Question by Renee on 2/9/2012 - 11:21 am

"This pant is cut for the feminine figure and it really flatters! It has more of a fitted fit to it with some stretch for really great movement."

Q:
"How waterproof are these? I am on the we(s)t coast (Vancouver, BC, Canada) and ski pants need to be WATERPROOF. Usually high end GoreTex is the only thing that works, but nobody makes those in petite sizes. Other important features are vents and pockets."
1 Answers | Answer Question
Question by Jacquie on 2/26/2012 - 1:58 pm
A:
"These are the most waterproof pant we have in petite. These have a 10K waterproofing. Gore-Tex is 30K waterproof however 10K will still keep you really dry in most conditions. These do not have vents however they are not insulated so they will not keep you really warm without layers. These do have pockets with waterproof zippers."

Q:
"I am 5' tall, and weigh 98 lbs. I usually buy petite 0 pants. I want to know if your petite size 2 will fit me.I'm very tiny and short. Also, is this low rise or mid rise? "
1 Answers | Answer Question
Question by Kay on 9/15/2012 - 11:52 pm
A:
"This pant is classified as a low-mid rise, so depending on your body type it could be either. To get the best idea of what size you should be ordering, make sure to check out the measurements on the Sizing Chart. It gives you the waist and hip size for a size 2 so that you can see if that will work for you or not. "

Q:
"I bought the Obermeyer Kristina jacket earlier this season. Will these pants in black coordinate with it? Any opinion on if this brand runs smaller or larger compared to Obermeyer pants. The size chart says slightly larger but the photos look like they run smaller."
1 Answers | Answer Question
Question by Connie on 1/24/2013 - 12:34 pm
A:
"If you got the black Obermeyer jacket and not the pink, the AFRC pants may not match up well. The jacket is a shinny black color, where the pants are a matte black. The pants are and look slimming because it has no insulation in them. Unlike other ski pants that have insulation. "

Q:
"I need very warm pant. I did ski in January this year and the temperature was -5F. Will this pant work?"
1 Answers | Answer Question
Question by Ping on 4/2/2013 - 6:06 pm
A:
"This pant does not have insulation in it and it sounds like you may need a pant with insulation if you are looking for something very warm. As you can see, on this pant, we have only given it a warmth rating of 3/10, so not very warm. If you really love this pant, you can always add a Baselayer bottom underneath it to make it warmer. Otherwise, look through our selection of Women's ski pants for something with a higher warmth rating."

Q:
"Why would anyone want to wear a low-midrise in a ski pant. Bend over or fall and get the wind chill up your backside!! Do these pants have any spandex for freedom of movement? I am 4'10" and it seems like all the petite ladies like these pants. I return more clothes than I keep because of my height. Should I give these a try?"
1 Answers | Answer Question
Question by Patty on 10/25/2013 - 8:40 am
A:
"I would definitely recommend giving these a try! They do have stretch to them so you can easily move around without any restriction. This is one of the most popular pants for our petite customers!"

"I'm wondering about sizing. I'm almost 5'5", 150lb and I find that regular length ski pants are really long - would the petite size be ok for me?"

Question by Molly on 12/3/2013 - 2:43 pm
A:
"The Petite inseam is 2.5” shorter than the regular length. Petite sizing should work for you if you find the regular to be too long."

A little long but still GREAT ski pants!!   Rated: 5/5

I am 5'1" and a bit curvy so I bought these pants in both a 16 petite and a 14 petite. I normally wear a 29" inseam in jeans. The 14P fits great, maybe half an inch too long with ski boots. The 16P was definitely too long for ski boots, but nothing my dry cleaner couldn't alter.

Love it!   Rated: 5/5

I took these pants skiing in Tahoe during a blizzard -- temps ranged between 10 and 25 degrees, and I was warm and comfortable the whole time. I didn't have to wear any long underwear underneath them, and despite spending some time sitting in the snow waiting for my snowboarding friends, I stayed completely dry. I am only 5 feet tall, and these pants are the perfect length, no hemming was required. I have also worn these pants snow shoeing, and found them to work well in that context also.

Fits nicely, giving room for long-johns. These are not jet black in color.
