"Warm, Dry, Attractive Styling"

These are waterproof, as per Timberland's website. Because of the thick fleece lining, the shoe can fit about a half size smaller than some might expect, so go up a 1/2 size from your regular size. The construction is strong and yet the boot feels light enough to trudge up the mountains. Be aware, the fabric between the leather of the Dark Brown color is actually a very dark green (it appears to look like a dark grey on this website), but the boots are actually dark green and dark brown. The black pair are, indeed, black on black.
