As a native Floridian spending my first winter in Ohio, I needed one jacket that would serve multiple purposes, keep me warm and dry without feeling heavy and bulky, and was versatile so that I could wear it with both my jeans and going out and about on the town. I researched so many jackets as I know nothing about them, and finally decided on the North Face Amendment Triclimate Ski Jacket. It is so warm, and I LOVE it. I like the zip out lining and wear it on milder days, but today it snowed and was 20 degrees and I was very happy to be warm and dry. I purchased a pair of North Face Patrol Goretex because I wanted a good pair of gloves that would keep my hands warm. I used them for the first time last week at a soccer tournament and was rather surprised. It was about 40 degrees and I decided since I was outside and it was rather cold, or southeast Texas, I'd put my super gloves on to keep my hands warm. My hands got uncomfortably cold. I couldn't believe it. I'm very displeased with my purchase and wouldn't suggest them to anyone unless you use them for a summer hiking trip and wanted to protect your hands from getting scratched. I'd suggest you go back to the drawing board with this model.
My daughter's friend was wearing this jacket and when she saw it she had to have one too. She's a petite 5'3" and we ordered the size small in black. It's a perfect fit. She has several North Face Jackets (Denali and Windwall II), but this is her favorite. She
likes the fact that it has a feminine shape and isn't overwhelming on her small frame. The bottom has cinch cords so the fit can be customized. The inside is lined with the softest fleece you can imagine - think bunnies or kittens. :) This jacket was difficult to find in stock which is probably a testimony to its popularity. I was fortunate that Peter Glenn still had one!
Great vest! Not too thick and not to thin. Only disappointment is that the logo is not stitched in. Other than that, I am happy with my purchase.
This might be the best bag I have brought. It didn't look that big at first, but as I put things inside it stretched and stretched. Easy to carry and very durable with airline travel. I stand by this bag; great purchase.
These are made of good quality materials and are true to size. Great design. We hope to get a few years out of them!
I received these gloves for Christmas & was thrilled to get them! My fingers are very chubby & large. I usually have a difficult time finding gloves large enough to comfortably wear. However, these gloves run so big I cannot use them. Considering how long the fingers are I'd guess size small would have been a better fit. However I'd recommend this type of glove to everyone who uses cellphones outside in the cold weather.
I absolutely love this jacket. I live in Germany where it rains a lot. This is the perfect hiking jacket, and it's also great for everyday life. It is very waterproof which is good and bad. The main reason this is bad is that you cannot take off the hood, so if it's raining out and you have your hood down it will fill up with water. The only other thing is that the inside mesh pockets are not entirely a U-shaped pocket. There are holes sewn into the bottom-inside corners of the pocket. I put some money into the pockets and by the end of the night the change had rolled out of the hole. I have no idea why TNF would put these holes in them. I know this seems like a negative review but honestly this is my favorite jacket. It has pit zips. It's waterproof. It's great. I am 5'10'', 160 lbs, athletic build and the large is fits me just fine with a sweater underneath. I'd recommend this jacket to anyone.
