I really love this bag. Plenty of room for my boots, which are in their own pocket, helmet, goggles, gloves and more!! different straps for different ways to carry your gear which is cool. looks good too!
Great fit for my fat foot. Great response and feel. Flex was perfect for my weight and height. Boots are great for steep and fast slopes.
Got a set of these HVL 110 from Peter Glenn last season. First boots ever that fit my forefoot width. They fit great everywhere else too. I could ski all day without pain and without my feet getting cold from circulation loss. I'm a strong and aggressive skier. These boots gave quick response and great edge feel. The 110 flex worked great for my height and weight. They didn't wear out my shins and flexed effortlessly while still giving great edge feel. This allowed me to be relaxed and confident that I could trust my equipment. This made the last season the most fun because I didn't waste time and energy messing with my boots. I spent more time shredding Breckenridge.
Spend four days skiing these on Colorado blues, blacks, and a handful of double-blacks; groomers at Mach 3, bowls (powder and crust), and trees where we could find them. I'm very pleased despite one buckle failure on the first day. The heat-moldable liner made the boots comfy even when I torqued the buckles to the breaking point, and probably caused the boot to fit tightly despite the broken buckle. The broken buckle quickly became a non-issue when I realized the boot was functioning just fine without it.
Takes some effort to get 'em on and off, but I also credit that to the form-fit liners. Kept my toes warm, too, although we had full sun on three of the four days, so it wasn't a serious weather test.
I'm 6'-0" about 190, well over 50 years old, been skiing over 20 years, and am comfortable at (high) speed on everything except big bumps.
Finally! A boot that fits my big wide feet! (EEEs) It's been a long and frustrating journey trying to find a boot that fits my high volume/instep and wide feet and this boot did the trick. Too bad that most ski shops don't carry boots for extra wide feet (with a 106 last). Met another guy on the slopes last week who had the identical boots and he was a happy camper as well. We both agreed how difficult it is to fit our feet with appropriate ski boots and both agreed that we finally found a perfect boot in the TECNICA VENTO 10. Now that it is no longer being made we wonder what the next generation will be titled (should we need another pair of boots in the future). For now, these work perfect! Yay!
I purchased this boot based on the description online (...for expert skiers with higher volume foot..) and my trial of tecnica phoenix 90/100 boots. These were way too tight for me. I guess it was my mistake for assuming that these would be similar to the "pheonix", which also a 102mm last. I must say, the boot looked great...lots of features. I wish I could have kept them.
This is my second season with this boot. LOVE IT! After the initial getting-used-to it was perfect. Total Control!
The buckles on these boots are very cheap and break easily. I have had 4 buckles break numerous times.......I'm talking like 15 times. Only had them for 1.5 years too. I have other friends that have these boots and there buckles have broken too. We have all had to use other companies buckles as replacements. I now have 4 different colored buckles from companies who make better buckles. It sucks when you get to the top of the mountain to make your first run of the day and your buckle breaks. I'm so angry.
