I got these mittens for a recent ski trip. They are very good looking, easy to keep around your wrists, and are not at all bulky. On colder days, I did have to keep hand warmers inside the mitten (there isn't a separate pocket for this), but on warmer days, I was fine without them. I insist on mittens because I have Raynaud's, and keeping my fingers together tends to help. I cannot stand bulky mittens so these fit the bill (they look really small but fit great). I wish they had an extra loop to attach them to each other - but securing them around my wrists worked fine. These aren't gloves for single digit temperature days, but excellent for spring skiing - and they are great looking.
A little large for me therefore seems bulky on my hand and when I grip ski poles. I ordered XL should have been L. They are warm without the liners which I haven't used yet. No leaks and it was freezing the day I used them. The squeegee on the thumb came in very handy too. I like the long cuff as I prefer to wear my glove cuffs over my coat sleeves
No doubt that these are warm, but the mitts are rather stiff. In comparison to the Kombi, Kombi wins.
