The Oakley airbrakes are my third pair of Oakleys. I have the A-Frame and Crowbar, both with the persimmon lens. Loved them both, but on real sunny days, I always wished I had a different lens. That is why I purchased the Airbrakes. Best purchase ever. I just came back from Park City. Snowed very hard the first two days. The persimmon lens worked great. The third day was total sun. The black iridium lens was perfect. Having the ability to change the lens is great, and it is very easy to change. Also the Airbrakes almost never fogged up, and when they did, it was just seconds to clear up. Plus they have very good peripheral vision.
Had to return this jacket - ordered medium. Fitted perfectly across chest but hip/skirt area is unusually tight, would barely zip over 34 waist. Otherwise quality of jacket is typically Oakley good!
This Oakley jacket runs HUGE! I usually wear a size 12, so I followed the size chart and bought a size large. When I tried it on, the sleeves went past my finger tips. It seems to be well made, and quite warm, but I feel like it was sized to fit a man. I would recommend trying it on in a store somewhere if you are able.
Cost more but is high quality. You get what you pay for. This ski bag has all the features you'll want and need. Ruggedly built to take the rough baggage handlers. Numerous handles and good wheels. I just used it coast to coast with stops and plane changes. The straps for tie down kept everything in place. I put my skis, poles, all my ski clothing pants jacket base layers etc and helmet and gloves and goggles as well as a pair of street shoes and shaving kit. My ski boots made it over weight.
I looked everywhere for this color of Oakley Rolling Duffle bag and Peter Glenn was the only place I could get it. Quick delivery and definitely will save this website for future purchases.
I'm picky. Not only am I picky but I have extremely long arms, a mismatch of my slender torso. I wanted a shell that fit, was light, technically advanced, was part of a jacket/pant system, had snow gaiters on the wrists, a powder skirt, media pocket accessible without unzipping the main jacket zipper (it gets a bit windy on Peak 10/Imperial) and a helmet compatible hood. This was not an easy task, but the Unification Pro shell met it. What I didn't know I also wanted until I tried on a few other shells was a jacket with a snag-proof backing, so it would slide over the base layer and allow for uninhibited range of motion. Here the Oakley surpassed my expectations. Build quality is excellent, RECCO in the sleeve is (hopefully not required, but) handy, and with a pro rider like Seth Morrison (this is the new Sethmo, for those wondering) you know it's an uncompromising piece of gear.
I had been looking into the Salomon Shadow or Amont, but Laura Dempsey at Peter Glenn pointed me in the Oakley direction. If you need a special fit or have any questions on the technical aspect of winter gear (remember, there's no such thing as too cold, just the wrong gear) I'd urge you to ask Laura to point you in the right direction. She'll get you set up!
For my fellow orangutan-esque snow fans who might want more info, I wear a 15-36 dress shirt and this shell fits me like a glove in a medium. It was not always the case with other Oakley's I tried on, but it was for this jacket.
P.S. You won't believe this, but the Unification shell zips into my Salomon Cadabra 2L pant!
I went skiing last year and saw a girl wearing this jacket and I thought it was awesome! I love the color! I found it on oakley.com but it wasn't as cheap as on peter glenn. So I ordered it and I LOVE it!! I didn't know whether to get a XS or S because I like things form fitting. I got a small and it fits GREAT!!
This jacket is not only gorgeous looking, it's fully functional and warm too. The champagne color seems pinkish online, however, it's a light beige that has a 'pearl' sheen to it, which goes really nice with the Oakley snowboard pant in Cognac or any black pant. If you're not into all the insane color choices and combinations available out there (who can choose?!), this color combination is just pure class, backed by the good Oakley name. The jacket is warm, yet light and it feels 'expensive'. The hood stays in it's place, and when folded up inside the collar, you'd never know there was a hood because the seam is so well made. The inside pocket keeps your cellphone, money and pocket camera safe and secure, while the underarm zips allow you to control the ventilation. Just a really pretty highly-functional coat that's worth every penny!
The frames are for very small faces, maybe even kids.
Just got these, so review is based on first impressions. I'm 6.2, 176 lbs, 32" waist and got the size L. Perfect fit. Loose but not too baggy, just like the description says. Really soft and comfortable fabrics with a high-end feel throughout the construction. Suspenders are purple (not white as pictured here) and have silicon stripes on the inside, just like goggle straps. 6 pockets, including one on each lower leg. Bottom legs have some reinforcements, hopefully they won't rip too easily. The vents are great, and part of the reason I bought these. The inner thigh ones actually extend all the way across and will keep you cool on the bootpack. Sweet. They are described as being a "shell pant", so I was expecting them to be just that, but they are actually mesh-lined and fleece-padded on the knees and butt. I think this should have been pointed out in the description, however I'm happy with these features. Tons of bang for your buck (from a Norwegian point of view anyway...) Also includes a bottle-opener.
