"Great jacket!"

I love this jacket, and so does my girlfriend. So much so that she took mine and I ended up buying another. Very soft, durable, and looks pretty good too.

"Great Raincoat. Great value!"

Loved the Marmot rain pants so much that I bought the rain jacket. Use both for cycling in the NW. They are a great combo and keep me dry. Much better pricing than comparable "made for cycling" rain gear. Light, compact, well-made and works as advertised. Cell phone pocket would be a nice addition, but that is a very minor complaint.

"Colorful, dry, compactable, raincoat = perfect"

I bought this coat in anticipation of a trip to Peru this November. November in Peru is the beginning of the rainy season, and I didn't want to miss out on anything cool just because I didn't want to get wet. This jacket packed down nicely into a manageable size for my backpack for times when it wasn't needed, and it protected me and my camera when it was rainy. The color too made it easy for my travel companions to find me in a crowd. Definitely a very good purchase!

"Versatile"

I have had one of these for 4-5 years, and it is my favorite "go to" jacket- surprisingly warm. It is easily comfortable to 45 degrees, and much lower if you are active or are just getting short bursts of exposure. In suburbia, I will wear it in midwinter (20 degrees) when just running into stores, car, etc. Tailored, athletic fit, which shuts down drafts coming up your back, nice snug collar when zipped up (warm). Well engineered for athletic builds- traps warm air. Would call it rain resistant (15 - 30 min protection, but I have not treated mine, and it has been washed many times), somewhat breathable (it sometimes gets a damp feeling inside when I sweat) and 95% wind resistant. Very rugged, enduring jacket. Looks like shark skin on exterior. I am 5'10" 175lbs slim, and a medium works great.
Marmot: PLEASE keep making these!

"Awesome Jacket"

I bought this jacket for my recent trip to Ireland. I had read that a good rain proof jacket was an essential item. I ordered this in the berry color and it is a beautiful purple color, which I like for a gray, rainy day. While in Ireland, I wore this everyday. It really came in handy when we visited the Cliffs of Moher. I couldn't believe how awesome this jacket was at being wind-proof! I also really loved the hood to help protect from the wind too. For our rainy days, this jacket did its job. It was wonderfully waterproof. My only complaint is the mesh inside pocket. If you wear rings, they might catch on the mesh like mine did. This jacket isn't thin, but it's not heavy either. I would suggest you wear a light fleece under it if you are cold. Overall, an excellent purchase.

"Great Jacket"

It is a super light jacket and you can pack it anywhere. The waterproof works pretty good. I have not used it in heavy rain, but it works for some snowy days...

"Too large!"

Marmot says a large is 34-36...well, I am a size 34 and these are HUGE on me! That said, I am rating them as if they did fit me. I gave them a four star rating because; I like the materials as well as the features, I believe they are a well-made product as the workmanship is very nice, and they are very warm. I did not give them five stars because I thought they were a bit heavy compared to my other gear. I would recommend them, however, with that caveat.

I have had no problems with Peter Glenn, as I have already gone back to them for another selection.
