"ALL AROUND QUALITY"

Plush Sherpa lining to keep your feet toasty, beautiful rich pull-up leather so soft and supple. I wear a true us 11.5. I purchased these 1/2 size down with intentions of wearing them sock less. I'd advise true size if you intend to wear them w/socks. Frye makes a quality shoe. I coated these with SNO-SEAL to keep them weather proof. The rubber sole is identical to what Frye uses on all of their moc type shoes, perfect for outdoor wear. I've just discovered Peterglenn.com and I am truly satisfied with their turnaround time and customer service. I just placed my second order with many more to come. ENJOY

"Fabulous"

Fabulous. I love, love, love my new boots. They were such a great deal. They fit well even though I have a high arch. I have received tons of compliments. The quality is great. I highly recommend them.

"These fit like real cowboy boots"

These are a true cowboy boot, they fit me just the way any real well-made leather cowboy boots will fit you. If you have a high instep, I would not recommend, or do like the other poster on here commented & order up. I have a regular instep, they fit a regular sized foot. I ordered my regular size(9). These are soft leather & are rock-star boots! I love them!

"Beautiful, but runs large!"

These are really beautiful boots, but they do run large. I'm so sad because this was such a great price, but my normal size 6 was too big. It looked like I was wearing clown shoes. They are more feminine then the square-toed harness boots and the leather is a touch thinner so they're not as stiff. The gray is a beautiful neutral color. I would size down at least a half size in these. The heel is a really nice shape and I love all the stylistic touches on this boot. The foot bed is also extremely comfortable and conforms nicely to my foot. The only other thing that is slightly annoying is the sound they make when they whack against the back of your calf when you're walking, but I think all boots of this height do that. If only they had a 5.5!

"Excellent, softer, quality leather "

I tried the more popular Frye Harness Boot which, to me, felt like thick, fireman boots and did not bend or mold to my foot. They were a little too high as well, since I'm a petite 5'2". The 8 1/2 shaft was more proportionate, especially with thicker leather. I was able to find these Frye Martina Engineer Short boots. I hoped 7 would be a good fit. These boots, are softer, more feminine and still have that gorgeous, quality leather for which Frye is famous. I got a good deal, and shipping took just one day!

"Outstanding pair of boots"

When I finally got the size right (I ordered 1/2 size down) - I was thrilled with this purchase. They are so substantial and will last for years. The color is perfect, and the vibram sole gives good stability. Plus they look awesome with jeans or slacks. Very pleased.

"Beautiful, high-quality, hip boots"

These boots are simply gorgeous. Extremely well-made, durable, heavy, practical - while still so fashionable. The gaucho color is almost a neutral, and will go with casual or dressed up. And, made in the usa!

"Beautiful, but not a true fit"

I am giving these boots 4 stars because they are absolutely gorgeous and so well made! However, I'm a pretty strong 9.5 (some styles a 9) & I couldn't get these on. They run narrow. Keep that in mind. You may have to order a size up or if you have wider feet or a high arch these may not be the right fit for you.

"Beautiful boots!"

Although I had to return these (they seem to run 1/2 size too big, and now they don't have my size!), these are beautiful boots. Casual yet classy, and can be dressed up with the right outfit. The leather is butter soft and they are the perfect height (hit a few inches under the knee). The sole is really nice too (rubber with traction)--perfect for those of us who walk everywhere. Another great thing is that I was able to tuck my jeans into them without a struggle, and I have athletic legs. Frye makes amazing footwear, and although it's pricey, it is completely worth the money.
