"Love it!"

This is a nice Descente jacket. There are lots of features, and it is very stylish. It runs small so buy a size up, there is also are slim fit in the hips.

"Typical fantastic Descente quality"

The quality of construction and materials used is typical of Descente ski pant, fantastic. The only thing I'd like to have are thigh ventilation zips for those warmer days.

"Great for a petite woman"

I am only 5ft and always have a hard time shopping for sports gear. This jacket not only fits me right, it is also quite warm without being overly bulky.

"Great jacket!"

I bought this Descente ski jacket just before a trip to Steamboat Springs and Northstar. I was surprised how warm it was for a relatively light jacket. I am really happy with this purchase.

"Very good ski pants but some changes from previous versions"

Overall an excellent pair of ski pants...so much so that I have a total of three. The last one I bought had some changes in construction though: the inner gaiters no longer have a vertical Velcro fastener and snap button, instead they have a one-piece elastic band that is relatively tight fitting and cannot be adjusted to fit over boots. Second, in the waist area just above the zipper, they eliminated a metal clip fastener to keep the waist closed. What's remaining unchanged are two original snap buttons which can release in hard skiing. The fix is relatively simple by going into a fabric and sewing store such as Joann's or Hancock Fabric and purchasing a interlocking fastener. There used to be an extra two inches of material where the fastener was attached outboard of the snaps. Now it has to be installed behind the button snaps. The ski pant material is excellent and so are the heavy-duty zippers. Just the right amount of pockets and waist adjustments also. A top-notch ski pant.

"Great all around jacket!"

I bought this jacket at my local Peter Glenn. Used it the next weekend in snow, rain, ice conditions and it was great. Stayed dry, no sweat build up on the inside of the ski jacket, layered up and stayed warm as well. I like the detachable hood, plenty of pockets outside and inside as well. Great jacket!

"Tight fit"

It is tighter than I thought I would be. Usually large fits me fine, but this large is tight for a mid layer.

"Excellent Shell Ski Pant"

I purchase this Descente shell ski pant (on sale) in a light grey color the last week of March 2013 for spring skiing at Lake Tahoe. During the remaining three weeks of the season these pants were perfect for the (mostly) warm spring skiing. They are comfortable, breathe very well and I was able to dump any extra heat out of the two mesh lined vents on the outside of each thigh. Unfortunately, these mesh lined vent zips are not mentioned in the product's description, but they are there and are very useful. On a couple of cold days I just wore a heavier base layer, kept the zips closed and the pants were plenty warm. As for fit, I am 6', 175lbs with a 35"-36" waist (unfortunately, it varies). Fortunately, these ski pants have adjustable velcro pull tabs on both sides of the waist as well as belt loops for a belt. I bought this pant in a size 36" waist and adjust the waist accordingly. One more note: I learned that Descente is a Japanese company. Due to the name, I had always assumed the products were French. Who knew?! I definitely recommend these pants.

"A Good Jacket, But It Is Stiff"

I was looking for a spring skiing jacket and this was on sale. I wore it for a couple of weeks April '13 spring skiing at Tahoe. The jacket breathed well and the pit zips dumped heat well. I also like that the hood is removable. The one thing that I don't like about this jacket is that it is quite "stiff". I wish that it was more pliable and flexible. Still glad that I purchased, just be aware that whatever "polys" this is made of, they are of the more rigid variety.

"Slimmer fit ski pants"

These pants are pretty true to the pictures and description. They're slightly thicker than a shell but not fully insulated -- might got hot in spring skiing, but kept me nice and toasty in early March in British Columbia. The only issues: 1) the hips and thighs are just a little too slim, making the pants a bit constricting if you have skiers' legs; 2) the side leg vents are on the outside (most are on the inside) - these work better because they get more airflow, but look a little strange because people can see through to your long underwear (or leg).
